FEATURING MUSIC FROM THE SHOW
Tango, Tango - revolution of love... is a new theatrical music show from Berlin featuring vibrant, contemporary electro-tango sounds, including exciting re-imaginings of hit songs by David Bowie, Depeche Mode and The Police.
The performance involves modern and progressive tango dancers set in an innovative and groundbreaking stage and light design, including spectacular motion graphics. Together with the show music and album releases, there will also be a graphic novel and a live DVD.
The choreography by Patrick King (Cirque Du Soleil "Zumanity"), is fresh and modern, highlighting the unifying force of tango. Unconventional and current, the show also benefits from its dynamic ethnic and traditional elements.
The show and the score is produced, arranged and composed by Steve Last. Neotango Syndicate, Last's electrifying electro-tango band, accompanies the performance live on stage. Neotango Syndicate deconstructs the conventional fabric of Tango and Electronic Tango. The primal energies of Tango merge with DJ culture, elements of Hip Hop and Electronic Dance Music, a dose of Jazz and traditional ethnic ingredients resulting in an eclectic and fascinating soundscape that pushes musical barriers.
Tango, Tango - revolution of love... is written by Victoria Cyr, and is the story of an extraordinary woman from another world who falls in love with the person she least expects. Together they help us to find global connection and unity, to see that we have much more in common than we realise, and to create peace, light and tolerance in the world.
